September 9-13, 2019

Snapshot of the week:
We're off to a great start in our classroom. We've been practicing classroom rules, safe behavior and learning our friends' names. We are really getting the hang of our classroom and school routines! We also had our first school-wide fire drill to practice leaving our building safely. Please ask your child what their job is during a fire drill. Pete the Cat will also be going home this week with one student who will kick off our star of the week cycle. When your child takes Pete home, please be sure to complete the activities and return him to school on the following Monday. We are looking forward to another fun week!
In fundations, we have learned Tt-top-/t/, Bb-bat-/b/ and Ff-fun-/f/. You can help your child practice these at home, including correct placement on the handwriting lines. The letter-keyword-sounds help us to increase our fluency and become better readers and writers!
