Snapshot of the week:
We will continue our work of practicing letter sounds and formation, building/writing CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words, and we will keep working on sight words! Please review this week's fundations packet to help your child practice these skills at home. This week we will introduce the sight words a, to, in, and review the, of, and. We are working hard in the classroom to practice these words and make sure they are spelled correctly in our writing. If you would like another copy of the sight word list, please let me know. Report cards will be sent home next Friday, January 26th. If you have any questions about your child's report card or would like to schedule a conference, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Because of our snow day this week, the walking field trip to the Exeter Police Department has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 31st. Please sign and return the updated permission slip as soon as possible. Parents and siblings are still welcome to join us!
