Snapshot of the week:
This week, we will continue our work of practicing letter sounds and formation, building/writing/reading CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words, and practicing sight words! Please review this week's fundations packet to help your child practice these skills at home. This week we will be doing a review of sight words from lists 1, 2, and 3. We will review the, of, and, a, to, in, is, you, that, it, with, his, they, I, on are, is, for, was, he, at, be, this. If you need a copy of the word lists for home, please let me know!
Because we are learning about dinosaurs, we will be painting HUGE dinosaur eggs this week. On Friday, hoping they will be dry, they will be sent home to complete a project. Your job as a family is to crack open the egg and discover what type of dinosaur is inside. Your child should draw a picture of their dinosaur and answer some questions. Please help your child complete this and return the project page back to school on Monday to share with the class.
Last Wednesday, I sent out a link through Sign Up Genius for April conferences on 4/11 and 4/18. Please use the link to sign up for a conference time that is convenient for you. If you did not receive the link, please let me know as soon as possible so I can resend it.
