Snapshot of the week:
      We will be learning fundations letters Ee and Rr, our last two letters within quarter 1! As the quarter comes to a close, it would be helpful to continue prating with your child and home. The letters we've learned in quarter 1 are: Tt, Bb, Ff, Mm, Nn, Ii, Uu, Cc, Oo, Aa, Gg, Dd, Ss. We'll also have tons of spooky-themed learning to do! It's hard to believe it is already time to start preparing for our Halloween party! Our parade will be Friday morning at 8:45 to Lincoln Street School to check out the third graders' Cornstalk Characters. Immediately following will be our class party. Parents are welcome to join us for the morning! The party in our classroom will be from 9:15-10:45.

Snapshot of the week:
     This will be another week full of fall! We will be working on Halloween and pumpkin crafts, and using those as a theme throughout lessons. In Open Circle, we are learning about what it means to have a calm body and be ready for learning. We have practiced "flower breathing" and "balloon breathing" as strategies to calm our bodies when we are sad, angry or frustrated. We will be learning fundations letters Ss and Dd, and reviewing Tt, Bb, Ff, Mm, Nn, Ii, Uu, Cc, Oo, Aa, Gg. Please review the fundations packets to help your child practice at home. We'll also be practicing writing our names, counting through 25, and building/following patterns.

     It is Fire Safety this week. We will be taking a walking field trip to the Exeter Fire Station on Wednesday morning to learn more about our town. If you are joining us for our trip, please meet us at Main Street School around 8:40. We will be leaving promptly at 8:45. We will be learning fundations letters Aa and Gg, and reviewing Tt, Bb, Ff, Mm, Nn, Ii, Uu, Cc, Oo. Please review the fundations packets to help your child practice at home. We'll also be practicing writing our names, counting through 25, and building/following patterns.
