KINDERFUN 10/10/16 - 10/14/16

Weekly Newsletter

Snapshot of the week:
We have been off to a great start in kindergarten! This week we will continue discussing fire safety and enjoying our walk to the fire station Tuesday morning. We are all very excited for this trip! In Fundations, we will be learning the letter keyword cards for "A-apple-/a/" and "G-game-/g/". The kiddos have been very successful with the letters they have learned so far, and we are giving them lots of practice!  We will be doing our own project to go along with the story "The Bumpy Little Pumpkin" since we don't have art class this week. Mrs. H and I are excited to see how different all of our pumpkins come out! To align our classroom with more of MSS's goals, Ms. Jackie Smith will be visiting our room on Friday to review the "volume scale". This is a way for the children to visually imagine their voice volume and be more aware of what is expected throughout the day.
Mrs. H and I are so appreciative of the wonderful start to the school year we've had, and are so thankful for all of the support from parents! We can't thank you enough for your quick communication and involvement!
