Snapshot of the week:
We had a blast last week flying our Kk-kite(s)-/k/! This week we will continue to review all of the letters we've learned so far. Our math centers this week will be focused on our continued practice of ABC patterns -- our pattern project will be turned into a Thanksgiving headband! Although 1:1 correspondence is something we are working on, we will also work on counting by 10s using the ten-frames on our calendar. We continue focusing on what we are thankful for and what deserves appreciation! We will discuss the concept of charity and giving to those in need, which will prepare us for our donation walk to St. Vincent's on Tuesday, November 22nd! You are welcome to send in donations through Tuesday morning and our class will walk all of it over. Just a reminder that we are not asking for volunteers as it will be a very short trip to St. Vincent's and back!
Because the book reviews from the library were such a hit in our classroom, we opted to keep it going! You'll notice that book review sheets will come home as requested by your child, and we invite you to send it back to school so it can be part of our class book. Our students are so excited to share their hard work with one another, and also give us the inside scoop about some of their favorite books. Please know that this is not a required assignment, it is only to encourage more reading and the positive feedback we received!
