Snapshot of the week:
In Fundations, we'll be continuing to practice tapping out sounds and decoding CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words. We'll also do a very brief review of capital letters (I-R) and their purpose. As sight words are being introduced, we ask that you help your child practice them at home! So far, we have learned a, and, of, the. We will continue to practice those this week, and also introduce a few more. In math we will continue focusing on the vocabulary of greater than, less than and equal to. Our stories this week will focus on animals in winter and hibernation. We'll be doing quite a few activities over the next few weeks to learn all about how animals stay warm!
